School History



FPFK Kaya Academy is a mixed day primary school.
It is situated in Diani, south coast of mombasa. The Kindergarten is located at the FPFK church along palm beach road opposited Ukunda show ground and the primary school is at Jogoo play ground opposite Gift house and Nchi raha cottages.

The school was first opened in  1997, as a day care centre in the church premises, formally known as Philadelphia day care center with an enrolment of twenty pupils and one teacher. It was initiated by the church with the help of missionary Stig Jacboson and six years later the primary school was started

In 2003 the primary school had to be relocated to a piece of land offered by the church. Thereafter, it has grown to be what it is now.
 The name changed  from Philadelphia day care  center to FPFK kaya academy. FPFK stands for Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya. The word ‘Kaya’ in the indigenous Digo language means ‘home’

It is a single stream school from Baby class to KG2 and class 1-8 with a total population of 287 pupils.

School Management committee
 The school is run by the church through the school moderator under the school management committee. The committee members work on voluntary basis and come with wide range of wealth form different professional backgrounds.
